At Ecraid, we are committed to advancing clinical research in the field of infectious diseases by establishing a long-term, financially self-sustainable, clinical research network in Europe. Our mission is to join forces and collaborate to efficiently deliver high-impact studies. Headquartered in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Ecraid is the first network of its kind in Europe to offer a single point of access to a pan-European clinical research network for infectious diseases that spans over 1,250 clinical sites and 900 laboratories in 42 countries.

The role

The role of a Financial controller at Ecraid offers you get the opportunity to grow and develop in an international and dynamic environment. You will be actively engaged in diverse projects and processes, collaborating closely with the project controller and overseeing a junior team member. Your responsibilities will span a broad spectrum, including:

  • Conducting monthly financial closures
  • Generating accompanying financial reports, such as monthly management reports and KPI analysis
  • Supporting annual audits and preparation of financial statements
  • Managing VAT and other tax filings
  • Improving financial procedures, automating processes, and refining our ERP system (AFAS)
  • Developing budgets and forecasts

Requirements

To excel in this position, you should possess the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial control
  • Proficiency in Excel and BI tools
  • Fluency in English and Dutch
  • Familiarity with the AFAS ERP system is an advantage

What we offer

We offer a challenging and meaningful job in a purpose-driven, people-centred work environment. Based in Utrecht, you will be surrounded by intelligent, collaborative and enthusiastic colleagues. This position requires 32 – 36 hours per week, and is offered on a temporary one-year employment contract with potential for extension. We offer a monthly gross salary of between €4,200 and €5,500 that commensurate with experience and based on a full-time 36-hour workweek. On top of this, you will receive a holiday allowance and a year-end bonus.
