Ecraid introduces new COO Nils Visser

Nils has over 10 years’ experience in Clinical Trial execution and joined University Medical Center Utrecht (UMCU) in 2020 as Manager of Clinic Operations in the COVID-19 trial unit. He progressively took on new roles and challenges within the UMCU’s European Project Group, including leading role in the Group’s transition to Ecraid. Prior to this, Nils was Operations Director at Semiotic Labs, a start-up where he managed all operational aspects from supply chain strategy to project management and quality.
 
Nils brings with him more than 35 years of proven industry and professional experience in international environments. His strong track record in project management, operational excellence and change management will contribute to our mission to tackle infectious diseases by joining forces and creating the highest quality clinical evidence. Nils says:

I am honoured for the opportunity and look forward to help execute on Ecraid’s mission to develop innovative clinical trial concepts that will advance the fight against infectious diseases. By working closely with industry and academia, we have high chances to respond faster and more effectively to clinical outbreaks and advance our fight against infectious diseases.

In his new role, Nils will be a part of Ecraid’s management board and responsible for business planning and control, operational execution, quality and risk management, IT strategy development, and business support functions along with sustaining operational relations. Ecraid CEO Marc Bonten says: "Nils has made invaluable contributions to our organisation, and I have no doubt that as COO, he will help implement strategic vision and values of Ecraid Foundation, and drive growth."
