Training Modules on Adaptive Clinical Trial Designs
Module 6: Ethical and logistical concerns for adaptive designs
Adaptive trial designs offer a compelling new way of doing clinical research where trial parameters can be modified during the trial to respond to emerging research findings.
The final module in our series describes some of the ethical, administrative, regulatory and legal challenges that one can encounter when planning and performing adaptive clinical trials. The speakers use their own experiences to advise on introducing adaptive designs to Ethics Review Committees and engaging trial sites in adaptive clinical trials.
