Ecraid will attend ECCMID 2023 with own booth

For the first time, Ecraid will be welcoming visitors at its own dedicated booth during ECCMID 2023 from 15-18 April. The 33rd European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases, taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark, is a great opportunity to showcase our networks, projects and studies to the European scientific community.

Thousands of academia, healthcare, industry and state representatives will be gathering at the Bella Center Copenhagen, for four days of scientific endeavour, with many more attending hybrid events from home. Ecraid’s experts will be there to present recent research and to discuss important developments in the field of infectious diseases.

Visit our booth, meet the team

Preparations are in full swing for our presence in ECCMID’s Exhibition Hall E where we hope to see you at the Ecraid booth (no. 11). Take this opportunity to chat with our clinical and laboratory network representatives, operational team or Ecraid’s Business Development representatives. We look forward to meeting new faces, and seeing our long-time colleagues.

Adaptive platform trials

Co-organised by Ecraid and ESCMID, the open forum Adaptive platform trials after the COVID-19 pandemic will offer insight into this novel approach to clinical research in infectious diseases. Experts from across Europe and beyond will share their experience with several high-profile adaptive platform trials: REMAP-CAP (Lennie Derde – Utrecht, Netherlands), ECRAID-Prime (Chris Butler – Cardiff, United Kingdom), EU-SolidAct (Marius Trøseid – Oslo, Norway), and SNAP (Steven Tong – Melbourne, Australia).

Young investigator meeting II

There is no better way to ensure the future of clinical research than engaging those who will conduct it. After last year’s successful Young Investigator Meeting, the team behind it will be returning to ECCMID.

Ana C. Hernandez (Limoges, France), who is part of Ecraid’s study POS-VAP, was heartened by the attendees’ feedback last year: “The young researchers appreciated the opportunity to discuss specific challenges they’ve encountered starting up and running projects. This year, we will use that experience to make the session even more helpful.”

The second edition will focus on platform studies. For more details and information on how to register, read this article.

Meet our Coordinating Committee members

We are proud to have some of Europe's leading experts in infectious diseases in Ecraid's Coordinating Committee. Many of them will take part in various activities during ECCMID 2023. Here you can find details about their participation in the congress.

10 years of COMBACTE

This year, the EU-funded COMBACTE project celebrates a decade of state-of-the-art clinical research. To highlight the impact it has had on the field during the past 10 years, Ecraid’s predecessor will launch its final magazine during ECCMID 2023. Come pick up a  copy and learn about the many achievements of this landmark consortium that set the bases of Ecraid
